This is an ultra small river, hardly more than a creek, yet a fine salmon fishery, frequently producing 200 to 400 salmon in a single season. It is fished with only two daily rods so there is ample space. It is also within the boundaries of the capital Reykjavik and there is some trouble with nearby golfers and recreational horse riders both of whom seem to have little understanding that a salmon will spook easily. What saves the day is, that if they spook a pool, there are plenty of others to turn to.
The river runs througe Reykjavik main golf course.
