Hegranes Skagafjordur

Region: North Iceland
Coordinates: 65.6975° N 19.4126° W

Hegranes is approx. 15 km long and 5 km wide area between the waters of Héraðsvatna before falling to the sea. It is hilltop with octopus axes and transverse cliff walls. Between the axes are grassy marshes with small lakes. Hegranes is also known as Ríriphreppur.
