This small river is consistently Iceland’s second best river when the average catch per daily rod is calculated. Usually with about 2,5 to 2,8 salmon per daily rod. Being narrow, fast and rocky, this two rod river is mostly fished by locals favouring worm fishing. A few pools though beacon the fly fisherman. Last seasons catch was just under 600 salmon. The Angling Club of Reykjavik manages the river.
