The Industrial Museum was founded to commemorate the industrial heritage of Akureyri, the museum exhibits machinery, tools of various trades and manufactured products from the last century thus telling the stories of the factories and the people who created and worked in them.There you will find various objects and artifacts derived from the idustrial heritage of Akureyri, dating from the last century. You will also have the chance to explore everything from various machinery from the food industry, a printing press and lathes to sewing-machines, knitting machines, a loom and a watchmakers tools and various other artifacts. Also various utility products, food products, clothes, sheep skin, textile products and various other manufactured goods that all were produced in Akureyri.
