Lake Gotuvatn has an area of about 0,4 km². It is rather shallow and lies 215 m above sea level. Its discharge is river Svinafossa, which spills into the bay Hvammsfiord.
When the jeep track is dry, it is possible to drive to the lake. The lake abounds in Brown Trout, 1-6 pounders. This lake is popular in spite of its inaccessibility. There is no limit to the number of rods per day.
