Galtastadir farm ( Hroarstungu,) is a small sod farm dating back to the 19th century. Its architecture is different to most other such farms in the country. It comprises i.a. a living room above a cow shed. This old house has been in the care of the National Museum since 1976 and is still (2005) dilapidated, but under slow reconstruction. Some of the separate sheds are still standing.
