Hotel Aldan of Seydisfjordur consists of three old but extensively renovated houses two of which are located by the little pond in the heart of this quaint old town in the Norwegian Schweitzer-style. Each house encompasses 9 rooms and a dining room as well. Aldan restaurant has also been renovated and has got a new name; “Nordic” and is now focusing even more on local Icelandic ingredients, mostly from the Eastern fjords.
The third one, dating from the late 19th. century was used as banking premises for decades but has been renovated all while respecting traditional values. The house has 7 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. Most rooms have space for an additional bed and one room can accommodate a group of six. Flexible design makes it possible to combine some of the rooms to form a “suite” or family rooms for 4 to 6 persons.
Our accommodations offers bright and individually decorated rooms with free WiFi and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. Each room has a bathroom with a bathtub or shower. Egilsstadir village is 17 mi away.
Decorated in either romantic or antique styles, all rooms are located in a former bank or an old post office building, and include a seating area, mini-bar and tea/coffee facilities.
