Volcano Hotel is one of the smallest country hotels in Iceland and one might describe us as a boutique hotel or a very modern B&B. The hotel is located in the southern most part of Iceland, in the beautiful surroundings of Myrdalur valley, just beneath the glacier volcano Katla, in Myrdalsjokull glacier. Volcano Hotel is in only 170 km distance from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík. The next village, the village of Vik is 12 km east of our hotel. In the village you can find a gas station, swimming pool, a small shop, restaurants, an information center and an ATM. Volcano Hotel is just by the main road (the official ring road) around Iceland. Coming from the east or the west, we are very easy to find.
