MUSEUMS AND EXHIBITIONS: Holmavik

In Hólmavík and the municipality of Strandabyggð there are a few museums and exhibitions that you can take a look at. One of them is the Sorcery and Witchcraft museum in Hólmavík along with the two other connected museums, The Sorcerer’s cottage in Klúka, Bjarnarfjörður and in Trékyllisvík. In The museum in Hólmavík stories about witchcraft have been gathered and you can for example see the world famous Necropants.

In Sævangur in Steingrímsfjörður you can see the Icelandic sheep farming museum. Sheeps and agriculture in general have been the main industry of Strandir region since the area was settled.
