Laugarvatn Hostel

At Laugarvatn Hostel, guests can choose between rooms with private or shared bathrooms. Dorm-style rooms and apartments are also offered.

Midway between Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir lies the village of Laugarvatn on the banks of a lake with hot springs warming its shoal. Visit the geothermal baths at Laugarvatn Fontana by the lake and relax in the steam rooms built over natural hot springs and bathe or swim where the hot spring water flows into the cold lake. Be sure to bring your hiking boots for the many nearby trails on the heather or in the lovely birch forest at the roots of Mt. Laugarvatn.
