FLEKKUDALSA

Region: West Iceland
Coordinates: 65.1082° N 22.2679° W

A three rod river and a very popular one indeed. It is of medium volume and flows through woodland terrain. 250 to 350 salmons are a common season’s total and last season one of the countries biggest salmon, a 24 pounder, was taken from the Flekkudalsa. It has a well equipped self catering lodge.

Flekkudalsa is about 200 km from Reykjavik and 40 km from Budardalur.
