Hvolsvöllur is located on highway no 1. The camp site is at the entrance to the village when driving from west (from Reykjavík). The camp site is surrounded by tall trees.
The distance from the ring road is about 150 meters. The center of Hvolsvollur village is also around 150 meters. In Hvolsvollur you can find services like a bank, post office, grocery store, library, cafés, restaurants, gas station and information center. Close to the campsite are many walking paths, including a 3 kilometers wellness walk for nature lovers.
