Lake Vikravatn has an area of 0,8 km² and lies 275 m above mean sea level. Its discharge is Skamma, which continues to lake Langavatn. From lake Selvatn, a short distance west of lake Hredavatn, there is about two hours walk to lake Vikravatn.
The stretch lies uphill most of the way. The catch consists mainly of lake char, but also of brown trout, which was released into the lake a few decades ago.
The distance from the capital is 119 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 45 km from Borgarnes.
