SILALAEKJARVATN

Region: North Iceland
Coordinates: 65.7621° N 17.1466494° W

Lake Silalaekjarvatn has an area of 0,18 km². It is said to be shallow and situated only 3 m above sea level in the valley Adaldalur.

Road no. 852 to the farmstead Silalaekur leads to the lake. The catch is lake char and brown trout and the lake is fished the whole year round. It has traditionally been netted for centuries.

The distance from the capital is about 479 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 90 from Akureyri.
