MIDA

This river is located a short distance west of the village Budardalur. It is on the left side of the main road when headed to the north towards the village from the mountain pass Brattabrekka. The lower part of it is rather large and its catchment area is large, i.e. brooks running from gorges and side valleys.

It is among the many renowned sea char rivers of the country and a few years ago the salmon catch was quite descent. It was sold as a salmon river with the possibility to catch a few sea chars as well, but now its reversed. Three rods are permitted there per day and during the last few summers the salmon catch has amounted to 40-60 Salmons and 400-600 sea chars.
