The best salmon river of the Snaefell’s Peninsula. A rather large volume river stemming from large inland lakes. It is one of Iceland’s few “Fly only” rivers and perhaps the only major river, which has never been “helped” by the human hand. It has not needed human guidance, nature has had its way and the river is prolific and exciting with some breathtaking scenery thrown in. This river is fished for 70 days with 4 to 6 daily rods and will produce anywhere from 650 to 1.000 salmon in a single season.
