Lake Skogartjorn is actually a pond just west of lake Myvatn. Reared salmon and lake char have been released into it with good results.The catch consists of salmon, 4-8 pounders and lake char, 2 pounders. The price of the permits depends on the catch.The distance from the capital is 488 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 8 from Reykjahlid.
