The Husavik Whale Museum was founded in 1997. It’s foremost aim is to provide detailed and interesting information about whales and their habitat.
In the 1.600m2 house you can find on display whale skeletons of several species and fascinating facts about the whales and life in the ocean.

November – March 10am – 4pm
Exhibitions
The museum has 8 exhibitions rooms and is one of few museums in the world solely dedicated to whales. Guests will find 11 whale skeletons on display, including one of a 25 m. long blue whale.
Museum shop
A charming gift shop is located in the entrance hall. Various whale-related items can be found as well as books, t-shirts, posters and hand made souvenirs.
