Lake Stora-Vidarvatn has an area of 2,5 km². Its greatest depth is 20 m and it is situated 151 m above sea level. Its discharge, Vidinesa, spills into the ocean in the cove Vidvik.
Road no. 85 passes just east of it and south of it is road no. 867. A passable road leads to the lake and a stretch along it. The catch consists of lake char, brown trout and a special species of small char. The lake is not netted. The distance from the capital is about 648 km by the Whale Bay tunnel.
