Hveravellir Huts Kjolur

Region: Highland
Coordinates: 64.8672° N 19.5500° W

Hveravellir (The Hot Spring Fields) is a very interesting low temperature area at the northern edge of the lava field Kjalhraun. It is a popular stopover with tourist huts, a meteorological watch (was occupied the whole year until 2009) and a man made bathing pool.

The New Hut

The New Hut where the reception and the restaurant is located we offer for those visitors who would like to stay at Hveravellir and enjoy more privacy Private Rooms that can accommodate up to 3 people.

New Hut does not offer cooking facility.

New Hut offers shared bathroom and shower.

Private Rooms price includes Made Up Beds and Breakfast for two. For 3rd person in the room ISK 4000.

Guests staying in The New Hut are welcome to use the nature pool located next to the Old Hut and also the shared shower facilities next to the Camp Site.

The old Hut

The Old Hut, with its shared cooking facilities, has some charming dormitory options for individuals, small groups, families and friends visiting Hveravellir.

The Old Hut has 3 Dormitory rooms

The large room sleeping 10 in single or double bunks.

The small room sleeping 8 in single bunks

The Loft sleeping 12 singles

All overnight guests staying in the Old Huts dormitory rooms are welcome to use the shared cooking facilities and shared bathroom.

Guests who are not equipped with sleeping bags can opt for a made up bed with bed linens.

Guests staying in The Old Hut are welcome to use the nature pool located next to the Hut and also the shared shower facilities next to the Camp Site.
