This is rather a large run off and spring fed river, which discharges into the longest bay of the country, Eyjafiord.
8 rods are permitted for the salmon fishing area of the river and a few more in the char area, the uppermost part of the river. The Fnjoska river runs past the second largest forest of the country and its estuaries are renowned for their beauty and bird life. The salmon catch is rather variable, 200-400 a year, but the char catch is good and more reliable. The Fishing Society Fluga leases the river.
