Bustarfell is a farm, situated at the foot of a synonymous mountain in the Hofsa Valley in the Vopnafjord County in Eastern Iceland. Road # 85 passes Burstafell on the way to or from the fishing village Vopnafjord.
On top of the mountain is Lake Thuridarvatn. The farmland is rather large, somewhat wooded, and inviolate.
The same family has lived there since 1532. One of the best-preserved sod houses of the country are still standing at Bustarfell. The oldest part of the farmhouses was built in 1770. These houses were occupied until 1966.
