A small river in the Vopnafjordur district. Fished with three daily rods, the river has a new fully equipped self catering lodge. A typical summers catch is anywhere between 200 and 270 salmon plus several hundred sea char. The char mostly weigh 1-2 pounds, but sometimes they average 2-3 pounds. Despite being of small volume, sometimes large fish run it. Few seasons ago, a fish counter at the end of the river recorded two salmon that measured 110 to 115 centimetres.
