BUS SCHEDULE
REYKJAVIK - HELLA - HVOLSVOLLUR - SKOGAR - VIK - Klaustur SKAFTAFELL

Many of the attractions that Iceland has to offer are to be seen en route. Highlights from Reykjavík are f.ex. Seljalandsfoss waterfall where there is approx. 30 minutes stop. Next stop for approx 1 hour is Skogar area, where you can savor the splendors of Skógarfoss waterfall and visit the unique folk museum Skogasafn. Onwards to the village Vík, surrounded by beautiful and impressive high bird cliffs and black sand beaches. A special sight are also en route the extensive Eldhraun lava fields, dating from the year 1783.
Kirkjubæjarklaustur village, which was known in olden times as "Kirkjubær" (Church Farm) and was an important farming estate and final destination is Skaftafell National Park. The magnificent national park is one of Iceland's most popular hiking and mountain climbing regions with sights such as Svartifoss waterfall, deep valleys, tall mountains, lush Arctic flora and the magical atmosphere of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnúkur (2110 m). Starting from Skaftafell the highlights are in reversed order. Please also check out route 15 to Jökulsárlón and route 16 to Laki.
