Iceland boasts of about 100 museums worth visiting.  They are located all over the country, in rural areas and in the towns and communities.  Some of them are folk museums, based on variously ancient artefacts and history, others are based on pieces of art or natural history.  This is the only website, where effort is made to bring all these museums together along with about 2000 attractions and galleries around the country.  Sometimes the churches play an important role in depicting artefacts, art, architecture, and history.
