This museum exhibits memoriabilia of about 30 branches of industry and 40 companies in Akureyri.  Some of them date back to the early 20th century.  Among the exhibits are machinery, products, pictures of people at work, and archives.

The museum is open to the public every day during summer between June 1st to August 31st at 13:00-17:00.  During winter upon request
